MIRAKEL TEAK OIL

Mirakel Teak Oil is a high-quality protective wood oil, particularly suitable for teak decks and other absorbent wooden surfaces on board.

The oil penetrates the wood to help prevent drying, prolong its service life and enhance the natural grain and contrast of the timber. It can be used on both treated and untreated absorbent wood and is suitable for interior and exterior applications, including areas exposed to water.

Directions for use

The wood must be completely clean and dry before application.

Apply the oil directly to the wood or using a cloth or sponge. On highly absorbent or dry timber, apply generously in 2–3 coats.

For best results, apply in the evening and allow the oil to penetrate overnight.

If the surface has been washed, allow the wood to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before applying the oil. Do not wash the surface immediately before treatment.

Grey or sun-bleached timber should first be cleaned with an alkaline cleaner and water. Use a scrubbing brush or pad if required, rinse thoroughly and allow the wood to dry completely before treatment.

Absorption time: 3–12 hours. Hardwoods such as teak and oak generally require a longer absorption time than softer woods. Any oil that has not been absorbed after 24 hours should be removed with paper or a clean, dry cloth.

Important: Do not use on varnished or other non-absorbent surfaces.
